The End Name Game

How name friendly are you? You will find common and not so common historical name endings given to you below. See if you can find five names that end with each given ending. The first one in each group is completed for you. Form a group of five students or a team of two to compare answers. Score ten points for each name in your list that does not appear in your challenger's list.

Pick a partner. On the back of this page develop four name endings that have not been used on this sheet. Predict the endings that would have the most names in their category. Remember at least two letters must be used in each ending. Record your four ending choices in the blanks below before beginning your name quest. A book of inventors or politicians might be helpful.
