Number
And Letter History
©1999 AIM Consultants/Tom Palumbo
Will Shortz editor of Games Magazine devised this unique activity about 15 years ago. When this activity originally came out, he didn't include the history ideas on this page. This activity incorporates your reading and math ability with your ability to think divergently. Each number is described by the letter code to the right. See if you can figure out these codes for history and school facts which Mr. Shortz did not have in his original version of this puzzle. Scour your history books for additional analogies.
Example: 7 = D of the W Answer: Seven equals days of the week.
