After reading and discussing the poem below, make a list of five things you would like to do while growing up Column A. Use column B to list five courageous and challenging things you'd like to do. Use Column C to list five outrageous things you'd like to do but someone will probably say that they can't be done. How would this have changed our history if everyone was a "can't be done" person?

The people that miss all the fun,
Are those who say, "It can't be done."
In solemn pride they stand aloof,
And greet each venture with reproof.
Had they the power they'd erase,
The history of the human race.
We'd have no radio or motor cars,
No streetlights lit by electric stars;
No telegraph or telephone,
We would have lingered in the age of stone.
The world would sleep if things were run,
By people who say, "It can't be done."
