Write The News

How would you feel writing about history/people's adventures? Picture yourself sitting in an office day after day. Hundreds of exciting adventures come across your desk. Your job is to pick the best ones and write a descriptive article for the newspaper or magazine that employs you. You are bursting at the seams because you know that you should be out there doing the same things you are writing about. You decide that your writing will bring such great life to each adventure that you will actually become part of the adventure by writing about it. Sounds a little far fetched to me!!! Do you think you can do such a great job writing about each adventure below that the reader will be convinced you were part of the historical event, expedition, safari or challenge? Try it!!! After placing brief notes in the areas below, write and illustrate each story on a larger sheet of paper. Pick a publication for each story and write in a style you would expect to see in that new magazine.
