The world would be so much easier for all of us if the young of a creature such as a dog would be called a "young dog". A baby cat would be called a "young cat". Naturally a baby lion would be called a "young lion". I am looking for the person who decided that the young of every creature be called a name far from the name of the parent creature. Can you figure out what the young of each of these animals is called and then draw your four favorite young and old in the boxes provided for you below? What creatures, especially those found in the wild, would you add to our list?
